So I came across this post by Em at Sewing By Moonlight and HAD to participate. Not only is Em now officially a member of our guild (YAY!), I have been faithfully following her blog for a while and I think she hosted this last year, which I participated in too.
So here are my UGLY before pictures. Beware, these are quite graphic pictures. (OK not literally, but I still am cringing thinking that I am posting this)
My main sewing area is upstairs, in the laundry/kid's playroom right down the hall from our front door entrance. I try to keep it from getting overly out of control, but it's about ready to explode right now.
I need to clean off my sewing table and organize the collection cabinet (which is the one with the iron in the picture, it collects all the projects I am working on, as well as my most recent fabric purchases)
The basement on the other hand... is a DISASTER! I am ashamed to even show these publicly, because unlike Em, I am not in the middle of moving. I cannot even blame this on being sick and having the little one sick because I have been feeling better the past few days. This is just me being completely lazy and jumping from one project to another.
At least my cutting area is mostly clean. It can use a little bit of picking up though too.
So this is the beginning of my two week clean up job. Now that I publicly posted my shameful sewing area, I need to majorly improve it in the next two weeks. On top of the rest of my everyday duties, including the boys' starting up preschool next week. I am pretty sure there are two cargo jeans waiting to be sewn up somewhere in the stack of all this mess.
If you feel inspired to show us your mess, link up with Em at Sewing By Moonlight.
